Welcome friends! Thank you for following along on our journey of living life as best as we can. Let me start with a quick introduction. My husband, David and I grew up together and married in March of 2013. We currently have two beautiful children earthside, whom we do not share with the internet. Unless you know us in person, you will not know their names or see their faces. My husband grew up around medium sized farm animals, almost did an apprenticeship with Polyface farms, but inestead became a Ford Desiel Mechanic. I grew up with five brothers on a small (gardens and some chickens) home and went to Midwifery school right out of high school and have been in the pregnancy, birth, and parenting world ever since.

Some random facts about us:

  • We both grew up in the Shenandoah Valley

  • We homeschool and have since day 1

  • We bought our first home in Virginia at ages 22&20

  • We lost that home to toxic mold in 2019

  • We now reside in Indiana Zone 6a

  • I am still trying to successfully grow garlic, my nonna ancestors are shaking their heads

  • My husband is of German heritage and I am of Italian heritage

  • I and our daughters have Celiac Disease, so be on the look out for lots of Gluten Free recipes and tips. My husband does not eat gluten for our sake, but also for his own, because he has Crohns Disease. His Crohns is in remission and has been for many years, more on that in the future

  • We both grew up as Presbyterians and converted to The Catholic faith as adults

  • We hope to someday have a large enough farm for dairy sheep and or cows, beef, and an occasional pig, despite the headache that they are.

It has been quite some time since I have blogged, so thanks for sticking around while I dust off my skills.
